MALA : All Things Courier
Location: Salon C - 4/24/26, 1:00 PM - 4/24/26, 1:50 PM (America/Chicago) (50 minutes)
Jane received her Bachelor of Arts in History at the University of Kansas.  Her M.L.S. is from Indiana University in Bloomington. She has worked in libraries in Ohio, Texas, Colorado and the Kansas City metro area. You name a type of library or a type of library work and she has probably done it.  She was a reference librarian for many years at public libraries.  She has been an instruction librarian at university libraries and community college libraries.  She has been a school librarian in K-8 private schools. She spent many years providing collection development for both public libraries and a vendor. She has managed branch libraries in two KC metro library systems. She has been the Executive Director at MALA for over 5 years.  Jane has never tired of the variety and scope of libraries. She surrounds herself with librarians – her husband, one of her sisters and her sister-in-law.  She has 3 daughters and is now an empty nester with 2 dogs.

Jane will update on the labeling/tracking project.  The pilot libraries have begun using the new system so she will have things to share with everyone about how it is going and a potential timeline.  She will be also introducing herself and MALA to new Missouri library directors and staff who may be unfamiliar with MALA and how all things courier work.
