Joshua Lamb is the Collections Management Librarian at the Poplar Bluff Library, where he has worked for more than nine years. A graduate of the University of Missouri (Mizzou) MLIS program, he focuses on thoughtful collection development and ensuring patrons have access to relevant, high-quality materials. Joshua is passionate about aligning library collections with community needs and supporting lifelong learning through accessible resources.
Seeking to modernize nonfiction and improve browsing, the Poplar Bluff Library transitioned from Dewey to subject-based Neighborhoods. This session shares our rationale, implementation process, workflow, budget considerations, and measurable impacts on use.
